It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph C. Sansone, founder of the Joseph C. Sansone Company, originally Property Tax Research. Joe founded the firm in 1972 and successfully ran the Company for over 40+ years. His knowledge, presence and kindheartedness will be missed throughout the Company and community. Joe (along with his wife, Carlotta) were very active and generous in supporting many charitable causes within the local area and nationally.
Within the Property Tax Industry, Joe was a pioneer and titan. Joe was honored as Missouri Assessor of the Decade. He was the past President and Vice President of the Missouri Assessors Association. During his career he served as a Director for the International Association of Assessing Officers and was appointed by the Governor of Missouri to represent the state in the National Tax Association. As a Senior Member, he participated in the Tax Institute of America, National Tax Association, National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and American Society of Appraisers. He was a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation f/k/a Institute of Property Taxation.
